Q. How do I apply for a position?
A. You must create a login and submit your profile through the “Job Search” section of www.joinbarclays.com.
Q. How do I submit my resume?
A. You can submit your resume, along with your profile, by setting up an account within the “Job Search” section of www.joinbarclays.com.
Q. Do I have to create a profile?
A. You may view current opportunities without creating a profile; however, you must create a profile in order to apply for a position.
Q. What if I don’t have an email address?
A. An email address is required, so if you don’t have one, you will need to create an email account. There are many Internet services providers that offer email accounts at no cost.
Q. What do I do if I forget my user name or password?
A. Click on the “Login Help” button where you would enter your name and password, and follow the prompts. Either your user name or a new password will be emailed to your preferred email address.
Q. What if my email address or any other information changes?
A. If you need to update any of your profile information, you can simply login and go to “My Profile” and update the specific information.
Q. What happens after I apply for a position?
A. Your background and skills will be reviewed to determine if you are a good fit for the position. If so, you will be contacted by a Recruiter. If there is no immediate match for your background, we will keep your information on file for 90 days for other possible matches.
Q. How long is my profile active?
A. Your profile will remain active for 90 days. During that time, you will be considered for openings that match your experience and skills. After 90 days, you will need to reapply for an opening that matches your background.
Q. Can I submit my information without applying for a specific position?
A. Yes, but we encourage you to apply for a specific position. The position overview and requirements should assist you in finding a match. However, if you don’t find a match, you will need to create a profile and then apply without indicating a specific job.
Q. Will I be considered for positions other than the one I applied for?
A. Yes. Your profile information is in our database and can be searched and viewed by all of our Recruiters.
Q. After I submit my information, will I receive a response?
A. Yes. You will receive an email confirmation indicating that we received your profile and what position(s) you applied for.
Q. Will a Recruiter contact me?
A. You will receive a response if the position for which you applied closely matches your background and skills. If you are not contacted by a Recruiter, your profile will remain active for 90 days. If it’s been more than 90 days since you last applied, please visit our site to search for new opportunities.
Q. Do you conduct a background check on all new hires?
A. Yes, background checks are conducted on all new hires. Offers of employment are contingent upon favorable results.
Q. Are all new hires required to take a drug test?
A. Yes, all new hires are required to take and pass a drug trust. Offers of employment are contingent upon favorable results.
Q. How often are positions posted or updated?
A. Positions are posted and updated daily as they become available.
Q. How do I apply for an international position?
A. International opportunities can be found on the “Job Search" section of www.barclays.com.
Q. How should I dress for my interview?
A. You should dress in professional business attire. Although our colleagues dress casually, you will want to make a positive impression on the people you meet.
Q. What is the interview process?
A. If your background and skills closely match one of our openings, you will be contacted by a Recruiter. If, after talking to you about the position, the Recruiter feels that you have the skills, he or she will set up several business area interviews for you, including one with the direct hiring manager.
Q. What kinds of questions will I be asked during the interview?
A. Barclaycard focuses on asking behavioral-type questions, so you will want to be prepared with specific examples that support the information in your profile. For more, see “Interviewing Tips” under the "Job Search" section of this site.
Q. Are there any basic requirements for joining Barclaycard, aside from what is in the position description?
A. You must submit authorized documents within three days of employment as proof of authorization to work in the United States. Barclaycard requires all hires to undergo a criminal background screening, a drug screening, and a background information screening, including verification of information provided in your application and information from a consumer reporting agency.

Coming later in the spring is the Dryrock Café – a full-service on-site cafeteria located in the Dryrock building. Additionally, Barclays offers free covered parking, and we share space with Cosi and the Goddard School (childcare for 6 weeks to 6 months), which will open later in the year.

Q. Are your offices accessible by public transportation?
A. The Wilmington Train Station is a short walk along the riverfront and is serviced by Septa and Amtrak. There are also several DART bus routes that have stops within walking distance.
